Historic Paris and Paris Seinorama Tour

On this day tour, you’ll have the opportunity to visit Old Paris, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, and you’ll even take a Seine River cruise.

This tour is a combination of two half-day tours, Paris Historic and Paris Seinorama. During the day, you’ll cover Paris from east to west and then go back in time to the birth of the city. Paris was created some 2,000 years ago and began at the Cite Island (Ile de la Cite). With an emphasis on the history and art of the capital, this tour includes a drive through the historic Marais district and its hotels, private town-houses of the nobility from three or four centuries ago, the Latin Quarter with the Sorbonne, the Luxembourg Gardens, Saint-Germain-des-Pres district with its old church and its famous cafes, a guided visit to the interior of Notre-Dame Cathedral and a short cruise towards the Cite Island (unless the river is too high). Before returning to Place des Pyramids, you will admire the rigorous geometry of the Vendome Square and the surprising architecture of the Garnier Opera, near the department stores.

A strong characteristic of the French people is the respect they have for their history and the restoration of their national monuments. The result of this preservation of the past has greatly contributed to the beauty of Paris today, with its unique perspectives, geometric squares, sculptures, and monuments. This part of the tour concentrates on showcasing Paris from two different angles. From on high at the Eiffel Tower you’ll have a 360-degree panoramic view of the capital. From the River Seine cruise, you’ll enjoy the original viewing angle of the monuments and bridges from below.
